Thankful Thursday
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
This weeks topic is change. When I think of change… (I’ve got a two week old at home mind you) I think of the tiny diapers that I change several times a day. Some are full and surprisingly stinky (given the precious and tiny baby girl they are coming from). These diapers take a number of wipes and it can be challenging not to spread the mess. Often times we end up needing a new outfit. These diaper changes are a rather unpleasant and time consuming interruption.
Other diaper changes are much more tolerable… less stink, mess free, one wipe and were done… back on track in no time.
In life (at least mine), things are constantly changing- nearly as often as I change diapers. Just when I think I’ve mastered things… or when I fall into a steady routine… something changes…
Most changes are unwanted and unwelcome; I have forgotten that each change, each newness in life is orchestrated by God.
We are meant for change.
As we are made new and made to become more like Christ we will experience changes both big and small; the unpleasant and stinky as well as the more tolerable and mess free.
Whatever they may be, whatever diaper change you or I am facing, God has His hand in it and will see us through.
Yes, we are made for change. I think that’s how God molds us into who He wants us to be and who He knows we can be!God bless.

I love this analogy! It’s so perfect coming from you and where you are right now. I’m glad to see that all the changes going on inside your body haven’t messed with your brain cells as much as it did with me! :-)Freebie: Someone pointed this out to me one time, and I’ve always said I wanted to paint this on the nursery walls of my grandchildren:”We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.” 1 Cor. 15:51*grin*

Beautiful expressed, Tiffanie! Sometimes the changes are easy, sometimes they are long, hard and painful. But, if we’re changing the way God is leading us, He’ll be there for us and lead us through!BethStop by The Power of Your Love. I have something waiting there for you!

I am so glad that God is with us during every change in our lives. Sometimes the changes are tough, but knowing He is with us, makes it a whole lot easier.
