I could seriously just sit and stare at her all day long.
Sometimes, I do… just sit and stare at my baby girl. She is so amazing. God is so good. It probably isn’t on purpose (hubby is always quick to remind me it’s just gas), but when I hold her and talk to her she smiles sometimes. I love that. And I love her smile. My baby shower is this Sunday and most of all I’m super excited about sharing the most beautiful baby girl ever (no, I’m not going to be that mom) her with all of my friends (especially those who have not yet met our precious princess (maybe I am that mom)). I already have her outfit picked out; a cute little dress I grabbed at Once Upon a Child (the best consignment shop for kids clothes and baby gear). I don’t know what I’ll be wearing yet… but I am back into my jeans!
And today… me and my blue jeans found ourselves stranded on the side of the road. Yup, we was in a bit of a pickle. Knowing that I really needed gas, I hurried to make it to the boys dentist appointments with the intention of heading straight to the gas station when we were done. By the end of our appointments, Darci was apparently starving and with her tiny little lungs decided to let us all know it… all I could do was think about how I needed to get her home and feed my poor little princess. I forgot to go to the gas station. Oops. About half-way home the van began to sputter… and then… it died. Grandma and grandpa came to rescue us.
Yesterday… my jeans and I were headed to Iowa City along with my brother Josh and his friend, Jessica (my other brothers wife) and my nephew to take the kidos to the apple orchard. Once we reached Iowa City I took a peek at the directions (for the first time) and discovered that we had gone the wrong way. I was supposed to have been on a completely different highway. Oops. To get there we needed to head all the way back to Cedar Rapids and then head out on Highway 30. When we got back to town we decided to go to CeCe’s instead. The pizza was good. We will try to make it to the apple orchard next Tuesday.
Glad I can get my jeans on… but seriously, I must have forgotten to screw my head on!

You’re back in your jeans? Really? Oh the shame… it’s been 2 years and I’m not. Hmm, maybe that’s why I had to blog about doing the truffle shuffle in a dressing room last week, lol! Congratulations!I went to school in the Quad Cities. My dad came down from Wisconsin to visit once and took a wrong turn in Cedar Rapids… it can happen to the best of us. :o)Congratulations, your daughter IS beautiful! Blessings, Whitney

Yeah, that’s pretty pitiful. My last baby is 4 years old, and I still can’t wear the jeans I wore before him. Humph.:-) Just kiddin’ sweetie.I know you haven’t had much time to look around out there in the land of Blog, but I mentioned you in my video post yesterday. 🙂
