I don’t like to discuss politics, but… I will say that our President is an inspiring man. God created me with a deep passion for the minority, the hurting, the poor and the underprivileged. Guess that’s why I do Young Life. I know a bunch of teens (among many others) who are looking at things differently now, who now have a little bit more hope and who are now inspired to give thought to the possibility that they may actually be able to achieve anything they put their minds to. And I think that’s a beautiful thing.
I woke up today with a little inspiration of my own… I got out of bed at 5:30, put on a pot of coffee, washed the dishes and then sat down at the table with hubby and dove into day one of The Patriarchs (a Beth Moore study we are doing in our Bible study class). After which I went outside for a jog. I think today is going to be a good day.
I am excited about this Bible study. I actually did this one three or four years ago, but I know there is a lot I can get out of it now. It’s a very historical study, and I am not a huge fan of history. Historical facts excite hubby though, so I am excited about the things he will teach me and inspire me to learn.
I hope you enjoy your study. I’ve never done a Beth Moore study, but I’ve heard her speak, and she is inspiring!!As for our new president, we almost had all out war at my work today!! I finally said that I think we had better not discuss this any further–each person has the right to choose and vote whom they TRUST the most!!And here’s the way I look at this–God already knew who was going to when this election, and God is STILL in control of the entire universe–no matter who is President. I do pray that our new President will follow God’s direction for our country and re-turn our country to God, as it started in the very beginning–based on God’s principles.Beth
